Manoukian Law Firm, P.C. (“the firm,” “we,” “us”) operates manoukianlaw.com (the “site”). This Privacy Policy describes the personal information we collect through the site, how we use and share it, and the rights and choices available to you. It applies to the site only. Information you provide after the firm has agreed in writing to represent you is governed by the attorney-client relationship and by the California Rules of Professional Conduct, which impose stricter confidentiality duties than this policy.

Information we collect
Information you give us. When you submit the consultation form, request a call, or contact us by email or phone, we collect the information you choose to provide. This typically includes your name, phone number, email address, and a description of what happened. If you schedule a call through our scheduling link, the scheduling provider collects your name, email address, and the time you select.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, our hosting provider and analytics tools automatically record certain technical information, including your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, the pages you view, the date and time of your visit, and the website that referred you. This information is collected through server logs and through cookies and similar technologies described below.
Information from calls. Calls to (818) 818-5031 may be answered by a professional answering service on the firm’s behalf. The service collects the caller’s name, phone number, and a brief message and passes it to the firm. Calls may be recorded for quality and accuracy where permitted by law; you will be told at the start of a call if it is being recorded.
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13, and the site is not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to respond to your inquiry and evaluate whether the firm can help you; to schedule and return calls; to communicate with you about your potential or existing matter; to operate, maintain, secure and improve the site; to understand how visitors use the site so we can make it more useful; to detect and prevent spam, fraud and abuse; and to comply with legal and professional obligations.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own marketing. We do not use the information you submit through the consultation form for advertising.
Text messages
If you provide a mobile number and submit the consultation form, you consent to receive calls and text messages from the firm about your inquiry and your case. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, and you can reply HELP for assistance or call (818) 818-5031. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of hiring the firm. Mobile phone numbers and text message consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.
Cookies and analytics
The site uses cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors find and use the site. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, and the general location associated with your IP address. Google’s handling of this information is described in Google’s Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the browser add-on available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Spam protection. Our forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which analyzes interaction data to distinguish people from automated software. Use of reCAPTCHA is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Embedded content. Some pages display client reviews pulled from Google and a scheduling tool, and may embed video from YouTube or Vimeo. These providers may set their own cookies when the content loads. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them. Doing so may affect some features of the site. The site does not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals because there is no common standard for how to interpret them.
How we share information
We share personal information only in the following circumstances.
Service providers. We use third-party providers to host the site, deliver email, answer calls, schedule appointments, protect forms from spam, and analyze site traffic. These providers process information on our behalf and are permitted to use it only to provide their services to us.
Within the firm and with co-counsel. If the firm takes your case, information may be shared with attorneys, staff, experts, investigators and other professionals working on your matter, all of whom are bound by confidentiality obligations.
Legal requirements. We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, court order or other legal process, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety or the safety of others, or to investigate fraud.
Business transfers. If the firm merges with or is acquired by another practice, client and prospect information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to the professional rules that govern the transfer of client files.
Your California privacy rights
California residents have certain rights regarding their personal information. Depending on which laws apply to the firm, and subject to legal and professional exceptions, you may have the right to request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources of that information, the purposes for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we have shared it; to request that we correct inaccurate personal information; to request that we delete personal information we collected from you; and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

Please note that attorney-client privilege, the attorney work product doctrine, and the firm’s professional obligations may limit the information we can disclose or delete, particularly information related to a legal matter.
Data retention and security
We keep information submitted through the site for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry, evaluate a potential matter, and satisfy our legal, ethical and record-keeping obligations. Records related to matters the firm handles are kept in accordance with the State Bar of California’s guidance on client file retention.
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) for the site, access controls, and spam and rate-limit protection on forms. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send highly sensitive information, such as Social Security numbers or financial account numbers, through the website form; we will collect that information through secure channels if it becomes necessary for your matter.
Links to other sites
The site contains links to third-party websites, including Google Maps, review platforms, bar associations and government resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites, and this policy does not apply to them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of the page and post the updated policy here. Material changes will be noted on this page. Your continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
